Pole With Solar Modules

US Patent:
2011030, Dec 15, 2011
Filed:
Jun 9, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/157119
Inventors:
Kevin Franklin Leadford - Evergreen CO, US
Peter K. Nelson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:
F21L 4/08, H01M 10/46, H02J 4/00, H01L 31/052
US Classification:
362183, 136244, 136246, 320101, 307 18
Abstract:
Poles having solar power capabilities and, more specifically, poles that include solar modules (hereinafter “solar poles”) are disclosed. In some embodiments, the solar modules are positioned within a solar pole. A solar module can include, for example, a solar cell and at least one planar reflective surface situated near the solar cell. The reflective surfaces reflect and focus light onto the solar cells, thereby increasing the amount of light and energy collected by individual solar cells.

Egress Lighting For Two Module Luminaires

US Patent:
2012006, Mar 15, 2012
Filed:
Oct 26, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/282034
Inventors:
Kevin Franklin Leadford - Evergreen CO, US
Carl Gould - Golden CO, US
Peter K. Nelson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:
F21V 21/00
US Classification:
36224902
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide for a lighting system for illuminating aisles with shelving. A rail can include a plurality of LEDs that extend along the length of the rail. The rail can be coupled with a node that includes various components along with an egress light source. The LEDs can be used to primarily illuminate the shelving on both or one side of the aisle. The egress light can be used to illuminate the aisle during times of emergency, at night, or when egress may be required.
