Surgically, there is total emphasis on non-invasive procedures and surgeries. Highlights are her option (cryoablation) and Novasure (endometrial ablation) for abnormal premenopausal bleeding and 4th generation Thermachoice for those who don't respond. We use Ranessa, a non surgical office procedure for stress incontinence and use mini-slings at the hospital for incontinence. Medically, the entire emphasis is on functional medicine: i.e. focus on getting patients' total health restored instead of pushing drugs and perpetuating the disease, which is the way the entire healthcare system works. Our emphasis is on weight loss, bio-identical hormones, use of nutraceuticals and diet modification for age management and for reversal of disease. Instead of using anti-depressants, we use neuroscience and neuro-endocrinology testing for neurotransmitter levels and then to replace/adjust deficiencies/excess through diet, supplements, exercise, healthy lifestyle and stress management techniques. Our Bay area (Palo Alto office) is solely dedicated to age management for our patients, while Tehachapi's urogynecology office incorporates all principles of functional medicine on top of non-invasive surgical solutions for surgical problems.
