I choose not to contract with insurance, so that I can focus on your needs, not those of the insurance company. This keeps my overhead at a minimum since I do not have to incur the costs associated with medical billing ($82,000 dollars a year just to deal with insurance companies according to one study). I am then able to pass this savings on to you in terms of the reduced cost of the visit, spending more time with you, and being able to do all the things that need to get done - a win-win-win for all concerned and maximizing the value of our physician-patient relationship. Since I do not contract with any insurance plans, I am considered an "out-of-network" physician. If you do have insurance, after you pay for your services at Owasso Family Medicine, you will get a form that you can mail into your insurance company. They will then determine your reimbursement based on the terms of your plan. You can continue to give your insurance information to the lab, specialist office, or hospital for services they will provide outside of Owasso Family Medicine.
