Surefire, LLC - Fountain Valley CA
International Classification:
F41C 2300
US Classification:
42 72, 42124, 42 7501
Abstract:
An accessory mount for a firearm, and a method for installing the accessory mount to the firearm. In combination with the firearm including a longitudinal barrel, a rear support and a front support, the accessory mount includes a first semicylindrical mount housing having two longitudinal edges, an inner surface and a rear end, the first housing positioned along the barrel with its rear end supported by the firearms rear support, and including longitudinally spaced-apart lugs on the inner surface adjacent to each of the first housings edges; a second semicylindrical mount housing having two longitudinal edges and a front end, and including longitudinally spaced-apart appendages adjacent to each of the edges of the second housing, the second housing placed to the first housing with the appendages cooperating with the lugs for transversely securing the first housing to the second housing and with the first and second housings longitudinally movable relative to each other; and at least one longitudinally adjustable member carried by one of the housings longitudinally urging the first housings rear end against the firearms rear support and longitudinally urging the second housings front end against the firearms front support.

Flashlight With Lens For Transmitting Central And Off-Axis Light Sources

US Patent:
7083297, Aug 1, 2006
Filed:
Dec 9, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/732874
Inventors:
John W. Matthews - Newport Beach CA, US
Paul Y. Kim - Irvine CA, US
Assignee:
Surefire LLC - Fountain Valley CA
International Classification:
F21V 7/00, H01J 5/16

Abstract:
A flashlight has a lens having an optical axis, with a first light source positioned on the optical axis. A second light source is spaced apart from the first light source away from the optical axis, and the lens has an aperture registered with the second light source. The lens may have a central portion configured to transmit axially-emitted light from the first light source, and the lens having a peripheral portion having an internally reflective surface configured to reflect laterally-emitted light from the light source in a direction more closely aligned with the optical axis. The first light source may be positioned within a recess in the lens, and the aperture may be formed in the peripheral portion of the lens. The light sources may be LEDs, and may be of different colors.

Flashlight With Selectable Output Level Switching

US Patent:
7220016, May 22, 2007
Filed:
Dec 9, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/732883
Inventors:
John W. Matthews - Newport Beach CA, US
Paul Y. Kim - Irvine CA, US
William A. Hunt - Foothill Ranch CA, US
Assignee:
Surefire, LLC - Fountain Valley CA
