Abstract:
Two embodiments (FIGS. 1+ & FIGS. 5+) of a double, by-pass valve system for a closed refrigerant system allowing its safe servicing, the first being included in the original manufacturing of the compressor unit in the refrigerant exit line of the compressor (FIG. 4 ) and the second installed as a retro-fit on the compressor unit and provided "in-line" in the liquid refrigerant line. In the first a double valve body with a transverse bore through a main shut-off valve allows the flow of refrigerant to pass or be shut down to the rest of the system, while a secondary, access port with a transverse bore intersects the main flow valve on the upstream side of the seats by means of a manifold bore, providing a by-pass passageway to an access connection (minus a depressible valve core or "Schrader" valve) for a refrigerant hose to connect to the manifold charging gauges, allowing communication with the closed refrigerant system. Additionally, liquid refrigerant is by-passed into the evaporator coil for storage while repairing the condenser, and also individual sides of the system may be pulled on a vacuum independently to test for leaks. The second embodiment uses two, structurally independent, spaced valves connected by a "tee" to the refrigerant liquid line, forming a by-pass between the two valves.

Abstract:
Two embodiments (FIGS. and ) of a portable crane/winch/hoist allowing a safe flexible use with attachments to a vehicle or other designated use area while simple to assemble/disassemble with it's relatively light weight sections allows for a one person assembly and operation, is not intrusive to a vehicle's body nor is permanently attached and exposed to the elements. This device allows for a safe operation to load and unload objects while not being risky for a strain or injury when attempted by only one person in lieu of requiring two or more persons to accomplish the task. By reducing the injury risk thus limiting the potential for missed work hours and insurance claims; should result in enhanced performance production and insurance friendly rates. Additionally, this device can be adapted to shop work benches and other areas, as well as multiple vehicles particularly in the service industry i.e.; delivery, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lawn equipment, recreational vehicles, SUV's, vans, boats/motors. The present invention, being sectional, is relatively easy to manufacture, assemble, operate, disassemble and store. Said device is “user friendly” and economically affordable considering the existing products presently in the industry.

Abstract:
A device for servicing closed refrigerating systems comprising a double valve body with a transverse bore through a main shut off valve. The invention disclosed herein consist of methods for entering a closed refrigeration system for testing, charging and exiting the system, vacuum processes to vacuum the entire system and either the high or low sides of the system simultaneously and a method for the storage. The disclosed device and process eliminates a great percent of the loss of refrigerant in the refrigerant hoses when disconnecting during servicing and repairing the high side while using the recommended service techniques.

Abstract:
After removal of a valve cap from an in line shut off valve the Retaining Snap Ring Adapter with male threads and seat at one end, female threads and seat at the other end, a hex outer surface at the female threaded end, a longitudinal passageway down its center, is designed to be permanently installed on an in line shut off valve having a threaded moveable plug (operator) and said Adapter will not interfere with the moveable operator which opens and closes the valve when turned by a hexagonal wrench. The Retaining Ring Adapter prevents an improperly back seated operator from being ejected as a deadly missile by the normal operating pressures. The Retaining Snap Ring Adapter having been permanently installed on the valve, the cap is returned to the valve but is now screwed onto the added Retaining Snap Ring Adapter which is essentially now part of the valve.
