Philosophy:
As a hand surgeon I have practiced hand surgery for many years here in San Antonio. My philosophy is try to avoid surgery if at all possible. While I am a hand surgeon a number of conditions in the hand can be treated non-surgically, especially if treated early. The sooner we see somebody with arthritis in he hand or carpal tunnel syndrome the more likely we can treat the condition non-surgically. Then only if treatment with conservative technique fails, then we talk about surgical techniques.
