My philosophy of medicine begins with my Faith. I believe that God is in control and I know that He is GOOD. I know that God wants the best for you and I feel privileged and blessed with the responsibility of being your doctor. I have also been blessed by being trained by some of the greatest orthopaedic surgeons in the country and therefore am equipped with knowledge and skills to help you get better! Second - I want every patient to be well informed. I will do my very best to accurately diagnose your problem and then educate you about this problem and your treatment options. I will never recommend any treatment that I would not recommend to a family member who had the same problem. This usually begins with conservative treatment options and progress from there as appropriate. If an operation becomes necessary I will thoroughly discuss risks, benefits, and alternative choices with you prior to surgery. In regards to surgery I believe that "Less is More". I believe in minimally invasive surgery whenever it is efficacious. My specialty training in shoulder arthroscopy has given me a unique perspective when it comes to this joint. I perform practically ALL shoulder reconstructive procedures arthroscopically - including repair of MASSIVE rotator cuff tears. Arthroscopic surgery (as opposed to open surgery) leads to significantly less pain and suffering for the patient and allows me to perform repair techniques which cannot be accomplished via traditional open surgery. In summary, I'd like to partner with you with one common goal - to improve your health and function!

Abstract:
Methods and systems for AC joint repair using a fixation device having a specific “dog bone” configuration in a minimally invasive approach. One AC fixation system is formed of dog bone shaped buttons and at least one suture tape used to secure the buttons during an AC joint repair. The buttons are provided with openings that allow the passage of suture/tape limbs. Another AC joint fixation system is formed of a metal button inserted over a fused/joined construct having multiple flexible strands. The fused/joined construct is formed of multiple independent and separate suture strands and/or suture tapes that are joined (fused together) at about the midpoint of the tapes and/or sutures, resulting in multiple independent limbs of suture/tape. A suture tape loop construct having an integrally formed eyelet at one end of the loop may also be used in the fixation systems.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for soft tissue to bone repairs employing tensionable knotless anchors, without knot tying. The tensionable knotless anchors may be used by themselves or in combination with additional constructs (which may have a similar or different configuration, i.e., modified according to the specific repair) and with the flexible strands provided through tissue, around tissue, or through and around tissue to be repaired or fixated. The tensionable knotless anchors may be used to achieve simple stitch repairs, mattress stitch repairs or interlocked looped mattress repairs, among others. The tensionable knotless anchors may be also provided in a daisy chain configuration, i.e., with the suture from one anchor passed through the eyelet/loop of the shuttle/pull device of another anchor and repeated in a pattern.
