Philosophy:
With a strong educational background, training and experience in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, I am determined to provide excellent medical care with the honesty and integrity expected in a family physician. My philosophy of care entails four aspects of healthcare: preventing illness, healing the sick, optimizing care for chronic conditions, and, if need be, easing of the dying process. With use of a wide knowledge base of general medicine, I strive to provide my patients with current practices of Preventative Medicine, Acute Illnesses, Disease Management, and Palliative Care. Furthermore, my staff and I intend to address and ameliorate the social and psychological factors associated with medical care. Of course, none of this can be achieved without a trusting relationship established between patient and doctor. I encourage each patient to be a part of their medical decision making process, and I aim to be their advocate in all aspects of their care. This includes lifestyle changes, dietary and exercise regimens, physical and psychological issues, medication recommendations, laboratory and imaging reviews, specialist referrals, hospitalizations, and end-of-life concerns.
