System And Method For Uploading And Authenticating Medical Images

System And Method For Uploading And Authenticating Medical Images

US Patent:
2013028, Oct 24, 2013
Filed:
Apr 22, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/867683
Inventors:
Osama H. Al-Moosawi - Bear DE, US
Assignee:
WOUNDMATRIX, INC. - Chadds Ford PA
International Classification:
G06F 19/00, G06Q 50/24
US Classification:
705 3
Abstract:
Systems, methods and computer-readable storage media for securely authenticating client computing devices and receiving medical information at a medical information system are described. Patients and client computing devices associated with the patients may be enrolled with the medical information system. A client computing device may capture medical information, such as an image of a portion of the body of medical significance (for example, a wound). The client computing device may be authenticated by the medical information system by matching information in a client computing device authentication request with information in a device database accessible by the medical information system. Once authenticated, the client computing device may send an upload request to the medical information system including medical information. The medical information system may store the medical information in an associated patient profile in a patient database.

Apparatus And Method For Wound Diagnosis

Apparatus And Method For Wound Diagnosis

US Patent:
7989757, Aug 2, 2011
Filed:
Mar 22, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/729129
Inventors:
Osama Al-Moosawi - Bear DE, US
Sean M. Geary - Chadds Ford PA, US
Assignee:
Woundmatrix, Inc. - Chadds Ford PA
International Classification:
A61B 5/00, G01V 8/00
US Classification:
250234, 25055921, 356607, 382128
Abstract:
A configurable scanner (), for contactless measurement of the depth and perimeter of a wound on a target body part (), has a scan head (), and is configured to be controlled by a processor () for controlling a scanning procedure and analyzing the results. The scan head () projects a contour line onto a surface the target body part, and captures an image of the projected contour line. A series of captured images are analyzed to create a three dimensional model of the wound, and determine at least one of depth, perimeter and volume of the wound from the three dimensional model.

Wound Management Mobile Image Capture Device

Wound Management Mobile Image Capture Device

US Patent:
2012012, May 17, 2012
Filed:
Oct 11, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/270586
Inventors:
Osama H. Al-Moosawi - Bear DE, US
Assignee:
WOUNDMATRIX, INC. - Chadds Ford PA
International Classification:
H04N 7/18
US Classification:
348 77, 348E07085
Abstract:
A mobile device and method for capturing and transmitting medical images. The mobile device includes a camera component configured to acquire an image, a communications interface configured to establish an operable connection to a server, and a processing device operably connected to the camera component and the communications interface. The processing device is configured perform the method of capturing and transmitting the medical images, the method including causing the camera component to acquire an image of a wound on a patient's body, receiving location information associated with the acquired image, wherein the location information indicates where on the patient's body the wound is located, and transmitting, in response to a user request, the acquired image and location information to the server via the communications interface.

Apparatus And Method For Wound Diagnosis

Apparatus And Method For Wound Diagnosis

US Patent:
2009011, May 7, 2009
Filed:
Oct 31, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/263380
Inventors:
Osama Al-Moosawi - Bear DE, US
Sean M. Geary - Chadds Ford PA, US
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
US Classification:
382128
Abstract:
A configurable scanner (), adapted for contactless measurement of the depth and perimeter of a wound on a target body part (), has a scan head (), and a processor () for controlling a scanning procedure and analyzing the results. The scan head is translated along a substantially semicircular path () having a configurable radial distance from an imaginary axis, such that the imaginary axis is approximately coincident with an axis of the target (). The scan head () projects a contour line having a calibrated length onto the target surface, and the processor () stores an image of the projected contour line captured by an image capturing device (). The processor () analyzes a series of captured images to determine the coordinates in three axes of the projected contour line, creates therefrom a 3D model of the region of interest, and determines a depth and perimeter of the wound from the 3D model.
