Assignee:
Pallerin Milnor Corporation - Kenner LA
International Classification:
D06F 4706
US Classification:
68242
Abstract:
There is disclosed apparatus for use in pressing liquids from cloth goods, which apparatus includes a support having a porous surface upon which a batch of goods may be received, a concave pressure vessel having a flexible membrane across its open end to form a pressure chamber therein, and means supporting the vessel with the membrane facing the surface and for movement toward and away from the surface, so that, when the vessel and membrane have been moved to and locked in a position over the batch, water under pressure may be supplied from pump means and through conduit means connecting with the vessel to press liquid from a batch of goods on the surface, and, following pressing of the first mentioned batch into a cake and as the vessel and membrane are raised to permit removal of the cake from the surface, suction may be applied to the pressure vessel to remove water therefrom and withdraw the membrane to a position in which it is adapted to fit over another batch of goods on the surface.

Appl. No.:
8/335633
Inventors:
Norvin L. Pellerin - New Orleans LA
Assignee:
Pellerin Milnor Corporation - Kenner LA
International Classification:
B01D 3300
US Classification:
2103601
Abstract:
There is disclosed apparatus for use in extracting liquid from cloth or other water-absorbing goods wherein the goods are contained within a perforated drum rotatably mounted in an outer housing. Circumferentially spaced, essentially rigid, hollow preforms having parts therein extend lengthwise of the inner side of the drum, and bellows are connected to the inner side of the drum each to cover a preform. Fluid pressure is selectively supplied to the ribs to expand the bellows or withdrawn from the ribs to radially collapse the bellows onto the preforms.

Continuous Batch Type Washing Machine

US Patent:
5211039, May 18, 1993
Filed:
Mar 12, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/668046
Inventors:
Norvin L. Pellerin - New Orleans LA
Assignee:
Pellerin Milnor Corporation - Kenner LA
International Classification:
D06F 2302
US Classification:
68 27
Abstract:
There are disclosed alternate embodiments of a top transfer type continuous batch washing machine each comprising an inner housing made up of cylindrically shaped drums having inlets and outlets in their end walls connected to one another, and an outer housing having walls in its lower portion to form individual bath sections in which the lower portions of perforated outer walls of the drums are suspended. Scoops within the drums enable the drums to oscillate or rotate in one directional sense to permit the circulation of liquid through the goods and rotate in the opposite directional sense to transfer the goods through the outlet and into the inlet of the adjacent drum.
