Although Dr. Nelson Pichardo was recently hired at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center, his background and medical professionalism is extensive. He attended Medical School at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo. After leaving the Dominican Republic and coming to the US, he became a resident at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, in Neptune, NJ, specializing in Internal Medicine. Following the completion of his residency, he concentrated on Infectious Disease for his fellowship at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Dr. Pichardo has worked at two private practices since he finished his studies, as well as possessed two practices of his very own. He is currently working at the Meadowlands Hospital while maintaining his private practice, Pichardo Health Group, in Passaic, NJ. His specialty is Internal Medicine. He is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
