I always start with the question 'what's the problem?' To begin finding the answer may take several interviews, review of medical records, consultation with family members and the patient's other doctors. I have trained in both psychotherapy (I talk with patients) and medical psychiatry (I suggest medication and coordinate with other doctors treating the patient.) I see patients with medical issues that are affecting their mood, and their thinking ability.
