Abstract:
The antibiotic polypeptide -defensin-2 (hBD-2) is expressed in the eye, and is useful for treating ocular wounds. hBD-2 may be administered to the eye, or its endogenous expression may be upregulated by administering an hBD-2 stimulating compound.
