As an osteopathic physician, I enjoy treating the whole person and solving problems in a way that fits the personal style of my patients. I feel that ob/gyn encompasses primary care to a certain degree, and enjoy helping people find ways to prevent potential future health issues. OB/GYN is also a field where emergent problem solving is critical, and I like dealing with the more urgent needs of my patients. Much of OB/GYN care addresses psychosocial issues like sexual dysfunction, moodiness, insomnia, and other related issues that women often experience. As an ob/gyn I like being able to treat conditions medically OR sugically, depending on the situation. Using new technology in the operating room to promote minimally invasive surgery and rapid recovery is a rewarding challenge. I welcome diversity and value team work.
