Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a composition comprising: (a) one or more UV-absorbing agents, wherein all the UV-absorbing agents are in solution; and (b) an excipient; wherein the composition is ophthalmically acceptable, and wherein the composition does not contain an active agent. In some embodiments, the UV-absorbing agent is a vitamin E compound, ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate, sorbic acid, potassium sorbate, amino acid, or combination thereof.
