I focus on understanding you as a whole person, and never use a "one-size-fits-all" approach. I strongly believe in the importance of listening, but don't believe that is enough. I use research-supported psychological approaches, and empower you to overcome life's challenges by modeling new forms of self-talk, practicing skills for managing stress, and teaching techniques for setting personal priorities, coping with difficulties, communicating with others, and reducing depression and anxiety. As a certified hypnotherapist, I often augment therapy with relaxation exercises, guided imagery and hypnosis. Research shows that these are very effective tools, particularly for reducing anxiety. I truly love what I do! I feel privileged to be able to help people build happier, healthier lives.
