Hello, I am Michael Krueger, M.D., CSCS. I am an Orthopedic Surgeon. I completed my medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. I then migrated south to Lexington where I completed my Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Kentucky. I have a profound interest in Sports Medicine, which is why I finished an accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship in Jackson, TN. I did this because I wanted to, not because I had to. I wanted to learn as much about sports medicine as I could and also to learn and perform the latest surgical techniques in sports and arthroscopic medicine so I could better serve and help my future patients. Procedures like hip arthroscopy, elbow ligament reconstruction, the newest ACL reconstruction and rotator cuff repair techniques have been ever-changing, so I needed to learn and change with them to better serve my patients. The CSCS stands for Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I got this degree while in residency because I love to work out, and I believe that many, if not all ailments can be improved and possibly cured with physical therapy. This is why I have developed my own physical therapy protocols and work intimately with my therapists to make sure my patients rehabilitate correctly--surgery is the easy part, rehab is the long and difficult phase...
