Philosophy:
As a Physiatrist, I believe that the first step in treatment is to arrive at the correct diagnosis. Once an accurate diagnosis is established, we should proceed with the most conservative treatments. This initial step usually includes directed physical therapy to address the issue that brought you to my clinic. If this fails, then non-addictive medications can be considered. If they fail, then procedures are usually the next step. I see my job as being your health consultant.
