Interests:
I have always loved costume history and even before getting my master's degree in this discipline, I would spend hours at the public library flipping through bound fashion magazines looking to see how the fashion cycle works. I feel that in order to fully understand how a particular fashion becomes the “in-style” it is best to look back at past styles and observe how the rise, peak, and fall actually works. Using the past as a mathematical approach to understand how a current or even future style will become the” in-look.” Another helpful reason to study a past fashion is to see who the fashion leaders, fashion innovators, and fashion motivators in a particular era.
