Abstract:
A banking system is controlled responsive to data read from data bearing records. The system includes a card reader that operates to read identifying data from user cards, and can authorize operation of an automated banking machine responsive to the identifying data. The machine can generate and present a check to the machine user in response to user inputs. The machine presents an interface for the user to sign the check. The user's banking account is charged an amount corresponding to the check value. In exchange for the same machine receiving the generated check, the user is provided with cash dispensed from the machine. The machine also allows the user to select having a canceled check image displayed at the machine and/or sent to the user's network address.

A system controlled responsive to data bearing records includes a card reader that is operative to read card data from user cards including identifying data, and authorizes operation of an automated banking machine responsive to the identifying data. The banking machine can generate a check in response to user inputs. The banking machine can also present the check to the machine user. A banking system is controlled responsive to data included on data bearing records. The system includes a deposit accepting machine for accepting deposit items, such as deposit bags, currency, and checks. The deposit accepting machine includes a card reader operable to read financial account data from cards of depositors. The machine includes a RFID reader that wirelessly reads data from RFID tags on deposited items, including account number and deposit amount data. A computer credits the account for the read deposit amount. The machine, which can also dispense cash, further includes an NFC reader that can wirelessly receive cash loading data from an NFC component on a cash handler's cash transport bag. The cash loading data can include an amount of cash loaded into the machine. The machine can wirelessly transmit to the bag, dispense data that includes the amount of cash dispensed since the last cash loading.

A banking system controlled responsive to data bearing records includes a card reader that can read identifying data from user cards. The system can authorize operation of an automated banking machine responsive to the read data. The system can provide an electronic transaction receipt to the machine user. A bank computer is operable to submit the receipt to a system address of record with the bank. The address can correspond to an e-mail address, phone number, or other address associated with an account involved in the transaction. The receipt can also include an image associated with the transaction. The system can also operate to image a check deposited at the machine, and then electronically send the image to the check maker, the payee, and/or a clearinghouse.

Abstract:
A system and method of providing an electronic transaction receipt from a cash dispensing ATM. A bank host computer is operable to submit the receipt to a system address of record with the bank. The address of record corresponds to an e-mail address, phone number or other address associated with an account involved in the transaction. The receipt may include an image or images associated with the transaction. Thus, a user of an ATM is able to receive an electronic receipt corresponding to the ATM transaction. The system may also operate to image deposited checks deposited at an ATM. Copies of the imaged checks and other information can be electronically sent to a maker, payee, a clearinghouse or banks involved with the transaction. The system may also operate to provide the user with blank checks in hard copy or virtual checks for transactions.
