Craps-Based Side Wager For Blackjack Card Game

Craps-Based Side Wager For Blackjack Card Game

US Patent:
8286967, Oct 16, 2012
Filed:
Apr 29, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/097225
Inventors:
Merrill Sparago - Los Angeles CA, US
Assignee:
Score Gaming LLC - Los Angeles CA
International Classification:
A63F 1/001
US Classification:
273292
Abstract:
A card game of Blackjack including a novel side wager. If a Player has made the side wager, two dice are rolled. If the sum of the two rolled dice is 2, 3 or 12, the side bet is automatically lost similar to the Come-Out roll in the game of craps. If the dice sum is 7 or 11, the side bet is automatically won. If the dice sum is anything other, a Point is established. As in traditional Blackjack, each Player is dealt two cards face up, and the Dealer is dealt two cards—one face up. A Player wins the side bet if one of their dealt cards has a face value equal to the Point, or if the sum of their dealt cards equals the Point. Several variations on the basic game method are described. According to one variation, the side wager is resolved uniformly for all Players that have made the optional side wager based on the Dealer's initial up card or on the Dealer's first two cards when both are revealed. The invention may be implemented as a live table game in conjunction with the card game Blackjack, or in electronic implementations were the cards, playing surface, and dice are simulated on a display screen through the action of a non-transitory computer readable medium coded with instructions and executed by a processor.

Appl. No.:
13/328462
Inventors:
Merrill Sparago - Los Angeles CA, US
Assignee:
SCORE GAMING, LLC - Los Angeles CA
International Classification:
A63F 1/00
US Classification:
273292
Abstract:
A dice-less craps game wherein the dealer removes three cards from a shuffling machine containing cards having only Ace-six values. The three cards are placed face down on designated locations on the playing surface with markings one, two and three for each respective card. A player selects two of the cards to be turned over. The sum of the two exposed cards are summed and the total treated as the outcome of the roll. An optional side wager can be made and won if the cards that are turned over match the number of their respective designated locations. Another optional side wager can be based on the number of sevens a player rolls in a round.

Three Card Blackjack

Three Card Blackjack

US Patent:
8413989, Apr 9, 2013
Filed:
Nov 16, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/297745
Inventors:
Merrill Sparago - Los Angeles CA, US
Assignee:
Score Gaming LLC - Los Angeles CA
International Classification:
A63F 1/00
US Classification:
273292, 463 12
Abstract:
The invention relates to a modified blackjack game between a dealer and at least one player. After placing initial wagers, three cards are dealt to each player and two cards dealt to the dealer. The game design allows players to either retain their initial three cards for play as a game hand, or divide their cards into separate game hands. Dividing cards into separate hands requires additional wagers. Players may play their one or more game hands by standing or hitting to reach a hand that is higher than the dealers without exceeding twenty-one. Players may divide their initial three card hand in any fashion that will provide them with the best opportunity to obtain a game hand under the conventional rules of blackjack.

Throw One Back Blackjack

US Patent:
2013026, Oct 3, 2013
Filed:
Mar 29, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/853340
Inventors:
Merrill Sparago - Los Angeles CA, US
Assignee:
Score Gaming LLC - Los Angeles CA
International Classification:

US Classification:

Abstract:
A Blackjack style card game played with at least one standard deck of 52 playing cards. A player places a main wager and a side wager, and is then dealt two initial cards. The player may elect to receive additional cards into their hand per the traditional rules of Blackjack. If the sum of the player hand exceeds 21, the player's main wager is forfeited to the house. The player may elect to activate their side wager, and then choose one card to discard from their hand so as to reformulate the sum of their hand. After the dealer plays their hand, the player's side wager is resolved by comparing the sum of the dealer's hand to the reformulated sum of the player's hand, and settling the player's side wager accordingly.
