Philosophy:

Dr. Hecht was trained in Geriatric Medicine at New York Hospital and, subsequently, joined the Social / HMO Demonstration project at BrooklynÃ¢ÂÂs Metropolitan Jewish Geriatric Center. Prior to joining Maimonides Medical Center as Deputy Director of Geriatrics, he was the Chief Medical Officer at Youville Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At Youville, Dr. Hecht was in charge of developing specialized programs in Geriatrics, Oncology and Stroke Rehabilitation. He was also a lecturer in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Geriatric Fellowship program director at Youville Hospital.
