Airman Versteeg's exceptional maintenance savvy was evident when he installed an aircraft starting system in only 3 hours, enabling a 93.4% aircraft mission capable rate. Additionally, during COPE TAUFAN, his expert inspection methods led to the discovery of an oxygen anomaly, preventing a ground abort and the deployment of additional personnel. Finally, Airman Versteeg expertly debriefed 76 sorties during the 2008 Air Education and Training Command Operational Readiness Inspection, resulting in an "Excellent" rating for the 352th Maintenance Group. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Versteeg while serving his country reflect credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
