Philosophy:
I am currently board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. I am fellowship-trained and board eligible in Critical Care Medicine. I am an active member of The American College of Chest Physicians, The American Thoracic Society, and The Society of Critical Care Medicine. I firmly believe that education serves as the foundation in the treatment of every patient. It is absolutely necessary for every patient to understand their specific disease process. Knowledge enables a patient to take a more active role in the treatment process in addition to becoming more comfortable with the associated emotional aspects associated with their illness. Our mission at Georgetown Pulmonary Associates is to provide comprehensive, personalized, and compassionate care to the pulmonary patients in Central Texas. We are actively engages in all aspects of pulmonary medicine. We offer complete Pulmonary Function Testing and interpretation in our office. Our office also includes a procedure suite to perform a multitude of procedures. We perform ultrasound-guided thoracentesis and Pleurx catheter placement, diagnostic bronchoscopy and endorbronchial ultrasound under conscious sedation, and transtracheal catheter placement. Dr. Fields and Dr deKeratry bring rare expertise in thoracoscopy and interventional Pulmonology. In addition to endoscopic tumor debulking and airway stenting through rigid bronchoscopy, they were the first physicians in Texas to offer Bronchial Thermoplasty as a potential treatment for severe asthmatics. I enjoy the opportunity to meet so many wonderful patients every day. It is truly a blessing and an honor to have the privilege of providing care to so many individuals.
