Filed:
May 9, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/467952
Inventors:
Kevin M. Jefferies - Raleigh NC, US
Benjamin W. Edwards - Knightdale NC, US
Matthew L. White - Raleigh NC, US
Konstantin Alexander Filippenko - Raleigh NC, US
Richard Karl Weiler - Raleigh NC, US
Assignee:
Schneider Electric USA, Inc. - Palatine IL
International Classification:
G01R 31/02
US Classification:
324511
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media provide electric supply equipment configured to perform diagnostics. The electric supply equipment may include a receptacle for forming a closed circuit loop. The electric supply equipment includes a connector for charging devices, such as electric vehicles . The connector may include one or more conductors, some of which may be wrapped with insulation. When the connector is not used for charging, the connector may be connected to a receptacle of the electric supply equipment . Thus, the electric supply equipment , via the receptacle , may form a closed loop circuit with the conductors. Further, the electric supply equipment may include a diagnostic unit for performing diagnostic tests on the conductors. In particular, the diagnostic unit may access ends of the conductors via the receptacle
