2013 Megapixel Man of the Year
Megapixel Man of the Year High Council
What is Megapixel Man of The Year?
It is the most sought after prize in all of IP Surveillance. Forged by the flames of high resolution pixels the Megapixel Man of the Year is considered by some to be the 'chosen one.' Much like Neo in Matrix the reigning king of Megapixel is said to be able to see the 1 and 0s of video streams all around him.
The crown comes with a heavy burden and the reign of Megapixel Man of the Year should not be taken lightly. The road is long and journey treacherous but for the chosen it is a chance to breathe the rarefied air of the highest resolution.
This title has been fought over for hundreds of years and has a rich history. Starting out as 'Gun Powder Flash Man of The Year' - won by Jasper 'Photobomb' Dupre - famous lab assistant o the inventor of Photography Nicephore Niepce.
Many years after this the award transitioned to 'Kodak Man of The Year'- which was championed by George Eastman of Kodak. This era ushered in the enlightened years of our award. In 1937 Edwin H Land ( inventor of Polaroid) partnered with Eastman / Kodak to crown the 'Instant Photo Man of The Year'- won by General & Future President Dwight D Eisenhower In the 1970's the era of Digital Cameras began - and the title had a dark era with such titles as 'CCD Imager Man of The Year,' 'Coax Transport Man of The Year,' '4CIF Man of the Year,' & ' Analog Video Man of the Year.'
We have come to a new and bright future for our prestigious award with the much heralded and sought after 'Megapixel Man of The Year.' Good luck to this year’s candidates. As former winner Dwight D Eisenhower once said "Neither a wise man nor a brave man lies down on the tracks of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him.".
