As a LMFT, I am educated and trained to counsel with an emphasis on relationships to individuals, couples, families, children and teens including foster children and older adults. We learn styles of communication and coping from develomental and life experiences. If we can identify the "triggers" for miscommunication by understanding our feelings and preceding thoughts, we can change our perceptions and thus our behaviors and communications creating more effective and satisfying relationships.
