Honor & Awards:
Letter of Commendation: Commander Carrier Group Three David N. Rogers Rear Admiral USN "For outstanding performance while serving as a Reactor Plant Mechanic on board USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) from December 1987 to March 1988. As the senior Steam Plant Mechanic assigned to the ship's propulsion plant drill team. Petty Officer Taylor skillfully executed realistic simulations for complex steam plant casualties and large fires. His in-depth knowledge of steam plant equipment resulted in drills of exceptionally high training value. Additionally, the hot condenser drill executed by Petty Officer Taylor was the only drill evaluated as 'Excellent' by the Nuclear Propulsion Examining Board. His diligent efforts inspired all who observed him and contributed significantly to the successful completion of the March 1988 Operational Reactor Safeguards Examination.
