Mark Collins is a seasoned mortgage professional that began his banking career in 1980. His background in chimerical lending has enabled him to help self-employed borrowers as well as more traditionally employed homeowners and buyers.<br/><br/>In 1987, Mr. Collins left commercial banking to seek refuge in the residential mortgage industry. As he observed back then, "Focusing on working with borrowers in the residential market will enable me to help more people reach their personal objectives because of the shorter conversion cycle from initial contact to closing. I get a get deal of satisfaction from helping others succeed in their goals and working with the residential market will maximize my own professional satisfaction."<br/><br/>In 1990, Mr. Collins purchased his first mortgage company. Since then has seen his efforts grow to a point in 2006 when he was the CEO of America's Mortgage Broker, LLC employed over 500 loan officers and closed in excess of one-billion dollars.<br/><br/>With environmental, legislative and regulatory changes taking its toll on the independent mortgage broker business, Mr. Collins closed America's Mortgage Broker, LLC at the end of 2010 and entered into employment as a branch manager with a mortgage lender. Associating himself with a national lender gave him access to correspondent lenders typically not available to mortgage brokers. <br/><br/>After managing a multi-site branch network over the past year, Mr. Collins has elected to return to originating loans. He recently disclosed, "I feel as if I have come full circle. I eagerly await the opportunity to help borrowers reach their personal financial goals. I want to make a difference in the lives of people who have been impacted by the economic stress of the past few years."
