Water Supply Tunnel Secondary Purpose Turbine Electric Power Generator System

US Patent:
8016548, Sep 13, 2011
Filed:
Mar 30, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/731080
Inventors:
Mark R. Ziegenfuss - Ringoes NJ, US
International Classification:
F01B 25/26, F01D 17/08
US Classification:
415118, 4151491
Abstract:
A water supply tunnel secondary purpose turbine electric power generator system includes: a. ) a water supply subsystem with a water source at an elevation that is at least 300 feet above the mean altitude of a community, that includes a gravity fed underground water tunnel being located, at least in part, upstream from the community, and, at least in part, being located under the community. There is a plurality of riser conduits in the community connected to the gravity fed underground water tunnel, delivering water from the water source to the community at a pressure that is at least 100 psi in excess of desired water pressure delivered to community water lines; b. ) water valving subsystems connected to each of the riser conduits and one of each including at least one safety valve, to lower water pressure of the delivered water; and, c. ) a power generating turbine subsystem, including at least one water driven turbine located in at least one of the water supply subsystem and water valving subsystem.

Non-Rotating Drill System And Method

US Patent:
2008015, Jul 3, 2008
Filed:
Dec 28, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/646949
Inventors:
Mark R. Ziegenfuss - Ringoes NJ, US
International Classification:
E21B 4/14, E21B 10/36, G06G 7/48
US Classification:
175296, 1754201, 703 10
Abstract:
A pneumatically operated, deep hole rock drilling system for non-rotating drilling includes a pneumatically operated drive, a hammer sleeve with hammer mechanisms therein/connected thereto, a hammer bit below the hammer sleeve and a tube string above the hammer sleeve. The pneumatically operated drive includes a pneumatic pressure delivery mechanism and a drive piston. Further, this drive means has air flow channel means for delivery of air to the drive piston for reciprocally driving a hammer bit. The hammer bit has a convex bottom and a sidewall. The convex bottom has a plurality of impact buttons. The convex bottom has a center, with the sidewall being a predetermined distance X from the center. The hammer bit has a plurality of sidewall impact buttons located on the sidewall, the sidewall buttons being arranged at a plurality of different distances from the bottom and having sufficient sidewall impact buttons to create a solid effective perimeter from a bottom footprint view to create a minimum distance of at least X plus Y from the center at all points along the perimeter, wherein Y is at least 20% of a length of a sidewall button.

Water Cycling System With Compressor Motive Force And With Turbine Electric Power Generator

US Patent:
7584610, Sep 8, 2009
Filed:
Jun 8, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/811124
Inventors:
Mark R. Ziegenfuss - Ringoes NJ, US
International Classification:
F04F 1/00
US Classification:
60398, 290 54
Abstract:
A water cycling system with compressor motive force and with turbine electric power generation, includes: (a) a water piping subsystem that has a circuitous loop means for continuously or intermittently circulating water in a loop, the loop having an upward flowing side and a downward flowing side, the loop having a bottom level and a top level with a head differential of at least fifty feet between the bottom level and the top level; (b) an air compressor subsystem including at least one air compressor having a compressed air outlet with the air outlet being located below the top level in the upwardly flowing side of the loop; and, (c) at least one electric power generating water-driven turbine located within the loop. In some instances the subsystem of piping is part of a water well; in other instances, part of a geothermal well; in yet other instances a different system, such as an above-ground system, e. g. a water tower.

Gas Production Well Secondary Purpose Turbine Electric Power Generator System

US Patent:
7958716, Jun 14, 2011
Filed:
Mar 30, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/731079
Inventors:
Mark R. Ziegenfuss - Ringoes NJ, US
International Classification:
F02C 3/22
US Classification:
60 39465, 166 7511
Abstract:
A natural gas production well secondary purpose turbine electric power generator system includes: a. ) a natural gas production well from an underground or underwater natural gas well production field that produces natural gas at the surface at an elevated pressure of at least 500 psi and at least 200 psi in excess of desired pressure delivered to gas processing or gas distribution lines; b. ) a natural gas valving subsystem connected to said well; and, c. ) a power generating turbine subsystem, including at least one gas driven turbine located in at least one of said well and said gas valving subsystem.
