MD, Medicine; General Psychiatry; Child PsychiatryI am a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. A significant portion of my time and energy has been in teaching and in the advocacy of children. I am working to revise and improve the Texas Family Code, the legislative guide to the courts guiding decisions of custody and possession of children. I am working on a book addressing the view of a psychiatrist with over thirty years of listening to patients and friends as they date looking for a life-long love - "Serious Dating." The reader is asked more questions and provided simplistic answers and tips. The intent is to facilitate their introspection and consideration of who they are, what they need in a relationship and how to recognize deal-breakers early. I have recently published "The Children's Book About God."
