Philosophy:
I enjoy getting to know each patient as a special individual. I want to hear their story. The word, "cancer" can be frightening. But the pathway of care does not have to be. And God willing, this path will lead to cure.
A key part of my approach is patient education. Armed with a knowledge of their condition, a patient can understand why we recommend a certain tereatment. With knowledge they can better cooperate with their medical team, and put their own efforts towards healing and recovery.
I like to proceed in a timely fassion, without wasting time. But good care moves forward thoughtfully, carefully and expertly without panic.
Radiation oncology is highly complex, and requires knowledge and skill in many fields of study. But the greatest thing is to know that a doctor's responsibility is first and foremost to the patient.
