Associative Database Model For Electronic-Based Informational Assemblies

US Patent:
6356897, Mar 12, 2002
Filed:
Jul 7, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/612115
Inventors:
Mark David Gusack - Coral Springs FL 33076-2602
International Classification:
G06F 1730
US Classification:
707 4, 707 10, 707104
Abstract:
An indexing system and linking method for an assembly of electronic-based information stored in and ordered by a plurality of records uniquely identified over relational data tables making up a data set wherein each table is assigned a unique domain of unique alphanumeric indicia for assignment and storage in the records. The records are ordered by the alphanumeric indicia whereby each data table acts as its own primary key. The records are bi-directionally linked to each other via separate, central linking table indexes wherein each index record is structured with linking fields for storing sets of alphanumeric indicia belonging to records in the data set. Each record is further structured to include an internal set of unique indicum for each data field whereby the combination of the record indicum and the unique field indicum identify each record-field over the relational data tables making up the data set such that each record field may be linked to other record-fields or records via the separate, central linking table indexes. Each central linking table index is further generalized to provide multiple arrays of linking indicia in indexing fields such that records from the data tables may be linked together as a data cluster. The linking values stored in the central linking table indexes may be predefined to automatically structure and link unspecified data, and changes in the data may alter the linking structure to provide further capabilities.

Associative Database Model For Electronic-Based Informational Assemblies

US Patent:
6112209, Aug 29, 2000
Filed:
Jun 17, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/099232
Inventors:
Mark David Gusack - Coral Springs FL
International Classification:
G06F 1730
US Classification:
707101
Abstract:
An indexing system and linking method for an assembly of electronic-based informational items stored in and ordered by a plurality of records uniquely identified over a plurality of relational data tables making up a data set wherein each table is assigned a unique domain of unique alphanumeric indicia for assignment and storage in the records. The records are ordered by the alphanumeric indicia whereby each data table acts as its own primary key. The records are bi-directionally linked to each other via a plurality of separate, central linking table indexes wherein each index record is structured with a plurality of linking fields defined to store sets of two or more alphanumeric indicia belonging to a plurality of records in the data set. Each record is further structured to include an internal set of unique indicum for each data field whereby the combination of the unique record indicum and the unique field indicum uniquely identify each record-field over the plurality of relational data tables making up the data set such that each record field may be linked to a plurality of other record-fields or records via the plurality of separate, central linking table indexes. Each central linking table indexes is further generalized to provide multiple arrays of linking indicia in a plurality of indexing fields such that a plurality of the records from a plurality of the data tables may be linked together as a data cluster.

Universal Flexible Binder

US Patent:
6435753, Aug 20, 2002
Filed:
May 30, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/583226
Inventors:
Mark David Gusack - Coral Springs FL 33076-2602
International Classification:
B42F 1300
US Classification:
402 73, 24 67 R, 281 33, 402 75, 402 80 R
Abstract:
A binder including a binding mechanism having at least one ring member for securing a plurality of pages within the binder; at least one spine member pivotally connected to the binding mechanism; and at least one cover pivotally connected to the at least one spine member. A pin may be provided to secure the at least one ring member to the binding mechanism. The binder may also include a sleeve mounted on the cover for maintaining the at least one cover and the at least one spine member in a fixed position in a single plane. Where two spine members and two covers are used, the two spine members and two covers are advantageously in close parallel relation when in a fully opened position and hide the binding mechanism when fully closed.

Indexing System, Record Structure, And Linking Methodology For Paper-Based And Electronic-Based Informational Assemblies

US Patent:
5921582, Jul 13, 1999
Filed:
May 15, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/079681
Inventors:
Mark David Gusack - Coral Springs FL
International Classification:
B42D 1500
US Classification:
283 67
Abstract:
An indexing system and linking method for an assembly of paper-based informational items ordered by an hierarchy of informational divisions represented by a plurality of tabbed section dividers (601) and tabbed file folders (901) with pre-assigned section indicia printed on their markable surfaces. Said sections contain a plurality of form pages (701), and document pages (1001) with pre-assigned section and page indicia printed on their markable surfaces. Said pages contain a plurality of tabular design objects (201, 301, and 401) printed on their markable surfaces. Said tabular objects contain a plurality of records that contain a plurality of data fields for entering informational items on said markable surface. Each said record is pre-assigned a indicum printed in another entry field. The concatenation of each record indicum with the section and page indicia printed on the same markable surface creates a unique identifier and locator for every informational record in the assembly of informational items.
