Abstract:
The invention includes an ear or nose plug and a method of forming such an ear or nose plugs. The method may include providing silicone rubber base and catalyst materials and mixing about equal parts of the silicone rubber base and catalyst materials to form a homogeneous putty. The method may further include forming a bullet shaped and sized module of the homogeneous putty. The method may further include inserting the module within an ear or nose cavity using enough gentle pressure to allow the module to conform to the ear or nose cavity and leaving enough of the module outside of the cavity to grasp for removal. The method may further include waiting a predetermined amount of time to cure and removing a custom shaped ear or nose plug. Embodiments of an ear or nose plug formed by the above method are also disclosed. The ear or nose plugs are formed in situ and quickly cure according to the methods of the present invention.

A method of forming a dental matrix includes providing a strip of PTFE tape of a length sufficient to cover a portion of a patient's mouth during a dental procedure, drying the portion of the patient's mouth to which the strip of PTFE tape is to be applied, applying the strip of PTFE tape by stretching the PTFE tape over the portion of the patient's mouth to be protected from exposure to substances used in the at least one dental procedure thus causing the strip of PTFE tape to adhere to the patient's mouth over the portion to be protected, performing the dental procedure, and removing the strip of PTFE tape from the patient's mouth.

Abstract:
A snowboard has elongate runners integrally formed with the bottom surface of the snowboard to increase the downhill speed characteristics of the snowboard. The runners define a longitudinally extending channel thereinbetween. The cross-sectional thickness of the snowboard is thicker at the runners and becomes thinner along the channel to increase the stiffness of the snowboard without significantly increasing the weight of the snowboard.
