Abstract:
A reverse shoulder prosthesis system has a humeral stem with a lower cylindrical portion, an upper cylindrical portion, an intermediate conical portion, and a central axis, a large flat with a small recess having an axis forming an angle of about 150 degrees to the central axis. A humeral socket has an upper surface machined as a hemisphere and an attached backing plate formed with a projection as a male Morse taper received in the small recess of the stem. A glenoid head is formed in a hemispherical configuration with a cylindrical pocket. A baseplate has a cylindrical central part, an exterior part, a long cancellous bone screw machined in the center of the exterior part, and an enlarged interior projection for assembly to the head.

A shoulder prosthesis system has a glenoid socket with an interior face with couplers and an exterior face being a concave articulating face with a first longitudinal radius of curvature and a second latitudinal radius of curvature. A backing plate has an outer extent and an inner extent. The outer extent has a cylindrical base and a recess around the periphery and a plurality of tapered bores extending through the outer extent spaced between the recess and the center of the backing plate. The inner extent is formed with a projection with threads adapted to be rotatably coupled into a scapula of a patient. The couplers of the outer extent are adapted to snap couple with the recesses of the glenoid socket.

Abstract:
A method and system of suture management aids a surgeon while tying knots in sutures during surgery to preclude suture tangling. A tubular guide has an anchoring screw with a threaded lower end and an upper end removably supported by the guide. Between the upper and lower ends is an eyelet. A pair of sutures includes a first suture of a first visual characteristic and a second suture of a second visual characteristic. Each suture has two free ends and a central portion positioned through the eyelet. At least one hollow sleeve receives there through an associated suture.
