Iwantedto get my real estate license once I moved to Las Vegas, and if things ever slowed down in construction, I would have a career thatI could fall back on. Well, I never got a chance to get back into construction, I was the rookie of the year within my first year in real estate and have been busy ever since! Let's face it, real estate isn't rocket science. There are a TON of agents to choose from in this relatively small town. If you find a real estate agent that you actually like, and they answer the phone when you call, or get back to you (the same day!) when they cant answer immediately, you have won half the battle. Vegas is a crazy market. It ALWAYS is, no matter if its a bubble, a deflated bubble, or a bubble being refilled- it is always crazy. We have an awesome town, and everyone wants to live here. SO, you need an agent that works, answers your calls, and you can get along with. Most likely, you'll be spending some time with them. I don't claim to be any better than anyone else. All I can say is that I get referrals from my clients, and they tell me that I make the experience fun, and somewhat painless:), so I will take that as me doing my job right. Yes, I have awards from my awesome company that I can flap around, but who really wants to hear about that? I am a very hard worker born and raised in Chicago, and have been a Vegas local for over 8 years. In my previous life, I was a licensed plumber (yes, for real) so I am used to doing whatever it takes to get stuff done! In my free time, I like be to outside- hiking (mountain and road), biking, kayaking, dancing, volunteering for animal causes, camping, and spending time with the 2 coolest dogs around.
