Rowing Locomotion Device

US Patent:
5492349, Feb 20, 1996
Filed:
Jun 20, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/262282
Inventors:
Marcio C. Ferez - Hialeah FL
International Classification:
B62M 116, B62M 1104
US Classification:
280248
Abstract:
An improved self-propelled wagon of the type having a body including front and rear ends, a front axle pivotally mounted to the front end, a rear axle mounted to the rear end, and a propelling means for transmitting the human force of the user to the rear axle. The improvement comprises a sliding gear assembly that includes a hollow tube having proximal and distal ends, a small spur sprocket freely rotably mounted at the proximal end of the hollow tube and a large spur sprocket means freely rotably mounted at said distal end of the hollow tube. The rotation of the sprockets driving corresponding chains trained thereon and causing the rotation of the rear axle. The sliding gear assembly is adapted such that a user may adjust the sliding gear assembly to selectively intermesh with, and turn, the small spur sprocket or the large spur sprocket. The improvement also comprises a steering assembly having a tube, horizontal rod, vertical rod, a fork and rod. The vertical rod having handle bars mounted on the upper end and rotating it, the tube journaling the vertical rod.

Rowing Machine With Wheels

US Patent:
6086078, Jul 11, 2000
Filed:
Oct 28, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/959044
Inventors:
Marcio C. Ferez - Hialeah FL
International Classification:
B62M 116
US Classification:
280256
Abstract:
A rowing machine with a body frame assembly and actuated by a seated user. It includes a stabilizing wheel assembly with the ends of a pivotally mounted axle provided with wheels. A pivotally mounted front wheel assembly is designed for steering the machine and a rotably mounting rear wheel for supporting the bulk of the user's weight as it is transmitted the seat assembly to the frame of the machine and to the rear wheel. The steering mechanism includes a novel steering linkage rod connecting the fork supporting the front wheel and the pivotally mounted axle where the stabilizing wheel assembly is rotably mounted. The approximate distance from the pivoting axis of the front wheel to the point on which one end of the steering linkage is pivotally mounted corresponds to 3 inches. The length of the steering linkage rod is approximately 27 and 5/16 inches. The distance from the pivoting axis of the axle to which the stabilizing wheels are mounted to the point where the other end of the steering linkage is connected is 4 and 3/4 inches.

Aquatic Exercise Rowing Machine

US Patent:
7604521, Oct 20, 2009
Filed:
Apr 20, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/738015
Inventors:
Marcio Ferez - Hialeah FL, US
International Classification:
B63H 16/08, B63H 16/18, B63H 5/02
US Classification:
440 21, 440 32, 440 90
Abstract:
A floating exercise rowing machine with two elongated floating assemblies that are kept at a parallel and spaced apart relationship with respect to each other by two transversal frame assemblies and a longitudinally extending frame assembly. The frame assemblies support a seat assembly mounted at the middle of the floating exercise machine. A propulsion mechanism that includes a bar that is pivotally mounted to the frame assembly with a coaxially extending actuating end that moves reciprocally between two extreme positions to cause, through linkage arms, the rotation of sprockets that in turn impart a rotational movement to a transversal axle that supports two paddle wheels at the ends. A steering mechanism permits a user to steer the floating machine with his/her hands.

Self Propelled Wagon

US Patent:
4601482, Jul 22, 1986
Filed:
Mar 7, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/709135
Inventors:
Marcio C. Ferez - Hialeah FL
Assignee:
Ferez Industries, Inc. - FL
International Classification:
B62K 2100, B62M 116
US Classification:
280265
Abstract:
A self-propelled wheeled wagon having cargo and seat sections. The user transmits a reciprocating movement, through a propelling mechanism, to the on of the rear wheel. The steering is achieved by directly moving the pivoting front wheels axle with the user's feet. The front wheels axle is provided with an axle stopper mechanism that prevents the axle from moving beyond a predetermined angle thereby minimizing the probability of injuring the user.
