Dr. Beier has served as an expert panel member for the 2003 revised Beers Criteria for Potentially Inappropriate Drugs in the Elderly. In 1996, Dr. Beier was recognized by ASCP with the ASCP/Eli Lilly and Company Leadership in Education Award. In 2004, Dr. Beier was recognized with the U.S. Pharmacist/Eisai hhc Pharmacy Recognition Award for Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Beier is the 2006 recipient of the prestigious George F. Archambault Award conferred by ASCP, and is the Society's highest honor. In 2012, Dr. Beier received the Berman Award from ASCP for outstanding service and dedication to the Society
