Philosophy:
My approach to patients is influenced by my academic background. I think about the problems that patients come to me for help with as puzzles to solve. I'm dedicated to staying up to date on the latest information and recommending solutions that make sense and work well for each individual patient. One of my greatest enjoyments in this job is the privilege of having intimate access to a wide range of people's lives. I try to honor this privilege by being non-judgmental--accepting people as they are and trying to realistically help them wherever they are in their lives. My style can be pretty blunt and to the point, yet my tendency and interest is to clearly explain things in ways that people will find easier to understand. I want to engage the patient in their own health choices and decisions by providing clear information.
