Abstract:
A continuous flow water heater assembly requiring no storage tank and including an entrance chamber having a flow control switch mounted therein adapted to be activated upon a positive flow of water through the system wherein the water flows from the entrance chamber to a plurality of heating elements each of which are at least partially segregated by virtue of their being removably mounted within separate heating chambers. The heating chambers are attached in fluid communication to one another by a plurality, at least two, ports which are of proportionately different sizes such that water will be passed between the first and second heating chambers in proportionately different amounts through the different sized ports. Water is thereby effectively distributed between the heating elements so as to prevent exposure of the heating elements when activated and thereby eliminating either of the heating elements from being exposed to air and thereby subject to burnout.

A tankless water heating assembly that heats water on a continuous basis as it passes from a conventional water source and through a heating system. It basically includes a housing assembly, a plumbing assembly, a heating system, and an electrical system. The tankless water heater assembly heats water in a real time basis, as is being used, resulting in an efficient method of hot water utilization. The heating system comprises heating elements that are submerged within water as the water passes continuously through the heating units to prevent heating unit burnout, and the electrical system has means to properly measure water temperature as it is flowing within the heating system.

A digital control system for a tankless water heater assembly designed to heat water on a continuous basis as it passes from a conventional water source and through a heating system. The digital control system comprises a display capable of displaying at least three display modes. The first display mode displays a power setting in the form of a bar graph, and real-time voltage used and efficiency in percentage form. The second display mode displays kilowatt usage and percentage draw. The second display mode is defined as a “generator mode” because a generator unit displays actual kilowatts the tankless water heater assembly is using. While in the second display mode, a user can manually adjust the kilowatts to be used. The third display mode displays amperage draw and actual power usage in percentage form.
