Apparatus For Improving Combustion Efficiency In Internal Combustion Systems

US Patent:
6712050, Mar 30, 2004
Filed:
Nov 4, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/286970
Inventors:
Luis Gomez - Hollywood FL 33019
International Classification:
F02M 2704
US Classification:
123536, 123538
Abstract:
This invention relates to an apparatus for improving combustion efficiency in internal combustion systems, comprising a casing having an inlet and an outlet at its ends for receiving and discharging, respectively, the fuel to be treated; an elongated metal bar concentrically located within said casing between said inlet and said outlet so as to enter into direct contact with the fuel, said metal bar being made of an alloy comprising, by weight, 30-60% cooper, 10-30% nickel, 15-40% zinc, 5-20% tin and 1-10% silver; a sleeve concentrically located between said casing and said elongated metal bar; separation means concentrically situated between said casing and said sleeve, to isolate said casing from said sleeve; interconnecting means attached to said inlet and said outlet, to interconnect the apparatus with the fuel supply and the internal combustion system; fixing means situated inside of each end of the casing, to hold the metal bar in place; grounding means located at the outer surface of the casing, to ground the apparatus when in use, to thus protect the reaction of the fuel and the metal bar from any interference caused by magnetic fields generated by any electric supply source; and, a plastic film externally covering each end of said casing for electrically insulating said ends.

Electrolytic System For Obtaining A Disinfectant

US Patent:
2009007, Mar 19, 2009
Filed:
Jul 7, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/168630
Inventors:
Luis C. GOMEZ - Hollywood FL, US
International Classification:
C02F 1/467, B01D 21/30, C02F 103/00
US Classification:
210137
Abstract:
An electrolytic system for obtaining a disinfectant and/or sterilant is disclosed. The system comprises, among other components, at least one reaction cell, that contains a selectively permeable membrane placed between two electrodes that generate a charged field across the cell when dilute electrolytic solutions are passed through the cell. The cell is split between the electrodes by a cationic exchange membrane, which divides the reactor into an anodic chamber and a cathodic chamber. In the reaction cell, a diluted salt solution is fed separately to both chambers that electrically dissociates the same, in order that when the salt solution used is a sodium chloride solution, an aqueous solution of O, O, HO, HClO, Cl, HCl, H, H3O, OH and ClO is formed in the anodic chamber. The solution obtained in the anodic chamber being useful as a disinfectant.

Carrier Assembly For Vertical Blinds

US Patent:
6105656, Aug 22, 2000
Filed:
Oct 4, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/411100
Inventors:
Osvaldo Hernandez - Hollywood CA
Luis Fernando Gomez - Miramar FL
International Classification:
E06B 930
US Classification:
1601681V
Abstract:
A carrier assembly comprises a housing having an aperture formed substantially centrally thereon for accepting a splined tilt rod. The tilt rod interconnects a plurality of carrier assemblies which form a vertical blind assembly. The splined tilt rod permits uniform rotation of a linear gear member contained within the carrier assembly to interact with a gear-headed slat support which may be removably connected to the housing. The interaction permits a slat depending from each of the plurality of carrier assemblies of the vertical blind assembly to rotate synchronously. Additionally, the gear-headed slat support is provided with a flush mounted stopping member for engaging the terminus of either end of the linear gear member to prevent skipping of the slats when said slats are fully opened or fully closed.
