Liquid Product Recovery From A Hydrocarbon Gas Stream

US Patent:
5402645, Apr 4, 1995
Filed:
Mar 21, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/210904
Inventors:
Lory L. Johnson - Oklahoma City OK
Donald V. Nicol - Plano TX
Assignee:
O. B. Johnson Manufacturing, Inc. - Oklahoma City OK
International Classification:
F25J 306
US Classification:
62 23
Abstract:
A cryogenic system for recovering a gas product stream and a liquid product stream from a hydrocarbon gas stream is provided which operates at process temperature of -50. degree. F. or less. A portion of a refrigerating liquid stream and a cooled liquid stream produced during operation of the cryogenic system are passed heat exchange relationship with an inlet vapor stream and define a partially closed refrigeration loop. The partially closed refrigeration loop permits the low process temperatures to be achieved.

Cooled Probe For Use In High Temperature Process Vessels

US Patent:
5740197, Apr 14, 1998
Filed:
Aug 18, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/506275
Inventors:
George W. Taggart - late of Dallas TX
Lory Johnson - Oklahoma City OK
Orville C. Ungerer - Dallas TX
F. Ellis Vandiver - Plano TX
Assignee:
Koch Enterprises, Inc. - Wichita KS
International Classification:
G01K 112
US Classification:
374148
Abstract:
An apparatus for inspecting, monitoring or injecting a process material into a high temperature process vessel includes a lance having an outer annulus, an inner annulus and a plurality of tubes positioned between inner annulus and outer annulus, the inner annulus defines a center passage, the tubes communicating with the cooling medium inlet for the flow of cooling medium to the distal end of the lance, the outer annulus, inner annulus and plurality of tubes defining a plurality of interspacial areas for the flow of cooling medium from the distal end of the lance to the cooling outlet. A thermocouple may mounted inside a thermocouple well for measuring the temperature adjacent the distal end of the injection lance.
