Liyuan is a student of American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, California, where she completed numerous acting and musical courses (e.g., studio program Acting III level). As a member of Casting Networks San Francisco (www.sfcasting.com), she has been invited to various auditions; performed in local theatres, and played selected movie and commercial roles. Her participation in the musical “Secret War,” was débuted in September 2007. She played the role of Mary in the musical/play “A Tenderloin Christmas” - a charitable event for the homeless débuted on December 15, 2007. Her supporting role in an independent film, “Motherland”, was released in the US on August 26, 2011. Liyuan was born and raised in Beijing, China, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
