Philosophy:
As a psychologist, I create a climate in which people feel comfortable in revealing and exploring themselves. I enjoy treating people of all ages from teenagers through the elderly, both individuals and families. People come to me for therapy with a wide range of concerns, including stress, depression and anxiety, and career, relationship and family problems. My original training was psychoanalytically oriented. While I retain some of that perspective, I incorporate many other psychotherapy techniques and ways of thinking about therapy into my work. I am committed to keeping up with developments in my field though continuing education.
I believe that successful therapy results in greater self-knowledge and self-acceptance, and positive behavior change. I continue to take great pleasure in watching and participating in people's growth through therapy. If you feel that you or a family member might benefit from psychotherapy, please contact me.
