When and how did you get started in real estate? <br /> <br />My real estate journey started when my husband and I purchased our first home in 2001. It was a great 2 unit property near F&M college in downtown Lancaster. We lived on the 2nd and 3rd floors and rented out the first. My first foray into real estate was successful and empowering and I’ve never looked back since. I decided to get my real estate license in 2003 and have since worked in both new construction and also for a real estate appraiser, gaining valuable knowledge and insight into different parts of this ever-changing industry. Making the home buying and selling process go smoothly for my clients is my top priority and who knows maybe we'll even have a little fun along the way! <br /> <br />What makes you different from the hundreds of other Lancaster County agents out there? <br /> <br />Hmm, where do I begin? Let’s start with the fact that I don’t deliver cheesy, over-the-top, scripted sales pitches. Instead, I am very direct and to the point and will give you my honest opinion and feedback. I believe that simple, direct questions deserve simple, direct answers. Don’t you just hate when you ask someone a question and instead of answering they change the subject? Do you know agents favorite topic to perform an abrupt "change of subject"? COMMISSION! I do things differently! You want to know how much I will charge to sell your home? It's 5.5% of the final sales price. 3% of that goes directly to the buyer's agent. The remaining 2.5% gets split between my broker, myself and Uncle Sam. There now, wasn't that easy? <br /> <br />Another key difference you will notice when working with me is that I strongly believe in STAGING your home to sell. If you honestly want to get top dollar for your home it needs to shine! You have to make buyers fall in love with your home before they will make an offer. A major benefit of hiring me to sell is your home is that I will stage it for you! Once the listing agreement is signed I will schedule a time to meet with you at your home to go over our action plan to get your home ready to put on the market. Its all about out-shining the competition and STAGING is the way to go! <br /> <br />What do you enjoying doing outside the world of real estate? <br /> <br />Besides thoroughly enjoying my adventures in real estate I also love spending time with my friends and family. I like to cheer on my husband during his bike races, and watch my three children participate in all their different activities. Ballet, Soccer, Gymnastics….you name it, we try it! We all enjoy being active and on the go! We also LOVE to travel and always look forward to our summer beach vacations! We also enjoy attending LCBC in Manheim and being involved with such a dynamic, life-changing church!
