I've always believed that listening to what patients have to tell you is of the utmost importance if we want to help them. Asking the right questions and giving them time to answer those questions helps me to determine how to best help them. Patients appreciate having even the simplest question answered in a way that they understand. I try to keep in mind that the patient should know exactly what has been diagnosed, but it should be presented in a way that they understand and know that it will be followed up and controlled as best as possible.
