For Dr. Yoder, one of the most important things he can offer his patients is his time. He appreciates that at Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Southwestern Regional Medical Center he can do that. “ I have time to see patients. I have time to sit down with them and their families. I can discuss their disease with them. I can discuss the therapies that they need. And I have time now to listen to what they have to say. I cherish that time that I have with patients.” Dr. Yoder also values the time that is saved by having all the clinicians and services under one roof. “ It's been such an advantage for me to have my colleagues close by so that I can talk with them and I can get answers immediately. I don't have to wait for weeks. It's also a benefit for our patients because they don't have to be going here and there and spending a lot of time with other appointments when everything is right here.” Spending the time with patients to explain their diagnosis and treatment options is part of the Mother Standard® of care, which hits close to home for Dr. Yoder. “ It means to us that how we're treated, we want everyone else to be treated also. I see everyone respecting each other and I see the love that's extended to everyone that works in this institution. And I know that's why people love to come here, either working here or as patients.”
