Focused Practice Recognition in Brachytherapy
American Board of Radiology
First physician in the country recognized by the ABR under the new Focused Practice in Brachytherapy, the therapeutic use of radioisotopes for malignancies. This is a pilot program developed by the ABR for physicians currently enrolled in Maintenance of Certification who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the use of brachytherapy or radioactive implant therapy in their practice. The Focused Practice Recognition in Brachytherapy (FPRB) program has been designed to offer diplomates certified in radiation oncology whose practices concentrate on brachytherapy an opportunity to obtain additional visible and credible recognition in this important area.
