Dr. Ashby is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She obtained a BS in Biology from the University of Scranton and an MS in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. Dr. Ashby obtained her MD from Georgetown in 1991 and completed a residency at UCLA/St. Mary Medical Center in Internal Medicine in 1995. She also served as Chief Resident in the Department of Internal Medicine during her final year. Dr. Ashby has been involved in various community service organizations including the Junior League of Boise where she was one of the founding members of the Especially Me self-esteem program for young girls. She is a volunteer at both her children's school and church. Dr. Ashby enjoys gourmet cooking, traveling, skiing, tennis and cinema. She and her husband Hansel, an Emergency Medicine physician at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, moved to Boise in 1995. They have two children.
