Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effective in an interdisciplinary team Manage department staff and operation in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations Establish quality improvement program for pharmaceutical services with quarterly reports to Quality Assurance Committee including statistic Oversight, consultation and instruction regarding the proper utilization of medication Conduct in-service educational programs for professional and direct care staff and pharmacy staff Responsible and accountable for procurement, storage, maintenance, usage and control of all drugs and biological Plan and directed monthly spot checks of inventory as required periodic inventories in accordance with federal and state laws and regulating agencies requirements Implement, review, and update policies and procedures for approval by Clinical Service Manager, including but not limited to procurement, storage, labeling, dispensing, controlling,3rd part billing, dispensing of drugs and medication Monitoring of medication errors, adverse drug reaction, automatic stop orders, drug recall and emergency medication kits Facilitate the receipt and dissemination of drug information and public education programs from federal, state or other agency Supervise pharmacist in preparation, compounding and dispensing of all medication Performance management of staff to include the establish and measurement of standards, staff development, mentoring, recognition, informed recruitment, attendance management and constructive action to address inadequate performance Supervisor duties of employees performance reviews, leave request, recommendation for disciplinary actions, appointments and other personnel actions
